How suffocating this world and life can be, yet thank God I am still alive.

Now I am 24 years old and I’ve been seeing — and experiencing — how cruel, harsh, and suffocating this world is. How unfair this world is to the powerless and unprivileged person. How this world always sided with the winners and left the losers.
Those made me think, is it still worth living in this kind of world? Is it a life that I should go through?
However, if I dive deeply, reflect on myself, and look at someone’s life below me my life isn’t that tough. I know comparing my life with others isn’t a good idea, but sometimes I and maybe you need it. I need to look at someone’s life below me to see how better and privileged my life is.
- I still have a home.
- I still have food and drinks.
- I still feel safe.
- I still have the people I love around me.
- I can still do everything without worrying that someone will attack me.
- I still have everything I need, and no one will take it from me.
And most importantly, thank God, I’m still alive.
Even though I make a lot of mistakes, thank God I am still alive. Even though I am still being ungrateful, thank God I am still alive. Even though I am — sometimes — forget You, thank God I am still alive.
Lastly, despite all the hardships I have to go through in this suffocating world, thank God I am still alive.
